The HXP series is commonly applied in sets of two where one unit
transponds to another the signaling is modulated and robust. It is
useful as an industrial or general purpose mechanical feed back. If you don't find a device that suits your

The illustration below shows how the HXP converter
series can be applied. The brown wire is connected to a volt meter.

In case of the Distance to Voltage converters the voltage
is proportional to the distance or
- Voltage (brown wire) = (Vcc * D) / (Max Distance)
2D and 3D multipoint example
The illustration below shows one possible situation where an
object is tracked on a XY plane. Only two distances are really needed say D1
and D2 to get 2 dimensional coordinates. But the setup shown below will work
well with transceivers on all sides. And if one more transceiver was added
on top, 3D XYZ coordinates become available. Object may be moving with
respect to fixed transponders 0 or both may be moving relative to each
other, transponder0 can also be placed on the object so the object can know
its own position.
