HXER series is a distance monitor priced at around USD 157 for both display and converter in hundreds. It uses a broad beam transceiver, and is therefore less sensitive to the orientation of the object. It is useful for position or level measurements in cases where the objects are not necessarily flat and orderly. And it may also be useful for liquid level measurement. The Display

A four digit display, one inch LED letters, this display connects directly to the serial port of the distance measuring device. It displays the distance to the nearest object.
