Configuration program for the Hx900 series positioning devices (4Mb): download Creates a file called MySetup.txt on your hard-drive, this file contains sample configuration strings. Ordinary text editors can be used to modify or add to the strings, or the program hx900set can be used to edit or modify the string. The primary addresses are shown in hexadecimal form rather than ASCII character form. If the termination byte is set to one of these addresses, the string of the device pointed to becomes bold, indicating the devices are chain linked. If the device is set up as master it's string turns to the color red. When the search button is used, the program will search for all devices it can find via the serial port. It will fetch the configuration strings of each device it finds and replace the sample configuration strings. These strings can be modified using the program and sent back to the devices. Selected devices can be configured individually, or all in one go. Before it is attempted to send the string, make sure the devices are not occupied. If the break button is clicked all the devices will be at attention and ready to accept the new configuration. The go button will initiate the process which has been configured using the configuration strings and the result or the network data stream is displayed in the bottom window.
