HX5 The Next Generation Indoor Ultrasonic Positioning

The following download is a complete software package for the HX5. The user can test run the software to see if it is applicable and get familiar with the DDE interface. The background gif image is for testing only, it is substandard quality. The user should provide his own background image.

Software Description 

All hxm files are ANSI text files which can be modified and created using standard test file editors like notepad and wordpad. 

HX5 programs for download

  Download Hx5data Version 1.0 for Windows 98

Download Hx5data version 1.0 for Windows XP

This program (Hx5data) reads data from the HX5NC controller and stores on a file called MonData.hxm

Input Files: Parameters.hxm, Layout.hxm

Output Files MonData.hxm

Download XYZ version 2.0 for Windows 98 3.5MB

Download XYZ version 2.0 for Windows XP 3.5MB

XYZ: in mode 0 reads data directly from the HX5NC network controller, in mode 1 reads data from file MonData.hxm and in mode 2 reads data via DDE from Hx5data program running in the background. The mode is selected through the Parmeters.hxm file. Version 1.0 wasn't able to resolve the Z axis, but Version 2.0 is able to resolve the Z axis

Layout gets data from XYZ output file [datevalue].hxm and runs the XY coordinates over a user scalable background image. Layout is also able to get data via DDE from XYZ running in the background and display live movement on a user scalable image.

Input files need to be placed in the directory where the executable file resides.
