HE660
Series
Operation
The flowchart on the right illustrates how the HE660 series operates. Please note for the following analysis, that, by the right hand bottom corner of the task boxes, is an identification letter. Task a: after checking bit 7 of the Program Control Byte, the device loops until a byte is received on wire or radio network through the serial port. Every time a new byte is received the device checks to see if the new data is a GO command, it's primary address or it's secondary address. Task b: the device determines the distance to first or closest object within range, it stores the results in memory. See flowchart below for further details. Task c: the device transmits the results out of memory from last object position scan (Task b). The result is transmitted through the serial port of the device over wire or radio network. Task f: Operation parameters are inputted and accepted. Only stored and implemented when entered (i.e. when device receives a carriage return). Task g: the device transmits the decimal code 45 equivalent to hexadecimal 2D and ASCII character ' - ' representing "GO" over the wire or radio network through it's serial port. Any other device connected to the network, will upon reception of "GO", either acquire object position or transmit satellite homing signal depending on setup. |
