The HE660 series Description

The HE660 transmits the distance to nearest object, through it's serial port. It has an output alarm pin which can be used as variable proximity alarm, hysteresis is programmable. The device operates using variety of transducers, this enables the user to select most suitable transducer elements for the application. Completely watertight structure allows operation underwater as well as above. It can be configured to operate by itself, or in a synchronized group of similar devices, each transmitting own distance to first object, over wire or radio network. It has special features to reduce cancellation effects which can cause stealth. And the device will lock on detected target, reducing probability of upset due to environmental noise, or momentary appearance of another object closer than the target. All essential parameters are software adjustable via the serial port. Watchdog timer resumes operation in milliseconds in the event of transient upsets.
